In 2001 within the framework of the Campus Master Plan, the Campus Development Office promoted the 4th Architectural Design Competition for the planning and design of the Social Facilities Centre.

Design Team
The 1st prize of the Competition was awarded to Architects' team Adonis Kleanthous and Nina Eliasidou.

Services Project Description / Uses
The complex is comprised of seven (7) buildings organised around a public square and encompasses various and alternative indoor and outdoor spaces for the recreation, socialization and support of the student community.
The seven buildings in concern are the following:

Due to the nature of the Social Facilities Centre and its focal role in the Master Plan as the Campus square, the project entails extensive exterior landscaped spaces and seventy five (75) parking places.

Project Construction
Construction works for the Social Facilities complex began in January 2008 and were completed in September 2010.
Project Cost
The cost for the construction works regarding the overall complex, amounted approximately to €21.000.000 (excluding V.A.T.).
