Two-stage Architectural Competition
The University of Cyprus, through the Campus Development Office, in the period of March 2002 – July 2002, promoted and completed an International Architectural Competition of two stages, which aimed in the selection and appointment of qualified Architects and Consultants for the design and supervision of the Building Facilities for the faculty of Economics and Management & Common Teaching Facilities 02 project at UCY Athalassa Campus.
Stage A – Prequalification Stage
At the Prequalification Stage twenty three (23) teams expressed interest to participate in the Competition, twenty-one (21) of which qualified and were invited to participate in the second stage which entailed the submission of design proposals anonymously.
Stage B - Architectural Design Competition
At Stage B, eight (8) design proposals were submitted by Architects and Consultants. These were adjudicated by a Jury of experts which granted two Prizes and two Honourable Mentions.
Architectural Design Competition Results
The following Awards were awarded at a ceremony which took place at the University.
