Paros is an island of the Cyclades group. It is located in the heart of the Cycladic complex and it lies to the west of Naxos and to the south of the Cycladic island-capital of Syros.

Nowadays, it comprises one of the most popular holiday destinations in the southern Aegean.

Paros preserves a number of important archaeological sites and monuments of all periods from prehistory to the Ottoman era.
