The A.G. Leventis Foundation, in response to the campaign "University of Cyprus 2010: The Road to Excellence", donated the amount of 6.5 million euros. The specific donation was used for the construction of the University House "Anastasios G. Leventis".

Following its previous donation, the "A.G. Leventis Foundation", responded to the campaign 'Building the City of Knowledge', for which it donated the generous amount of 6 million euros. The specific donation was used for the construction of the Building 'The A.G. Leventis Foundation - Department of Biological Sciences'.

“Nicos K. Shacolas” Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences”

The “Foundation of Nicos and Elpida Shacola”, wanting to contribute directly and actively in the development of education as well as in the health sector, proceeded to the generous donation of 13.5 million euros. This donation will cover part of the total building construction cost of the School of Medicine of the University of Cyprus, which will be called “Nicos K. Shacolas” Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences”

Learning Resource Center-Library “Stelios Ioannou”

Elli Steliou Ioannou (1919-2010), satisfying the wish of her late husband Stelios (1915-1999) to contribute to the construction of the Library of the University of Cyprus, offered a total amount of 10 million euros for the construction of the Learning Resource Center-Library “Stelios Ioannou”.

 
The building was designed by the internationally renowned architect Jean Nouvel, and its inauguration took place in December 2018, by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Anastasiades.
 
"Realizing the ardent desire of my late husband Stelios to contribute to the construction of the Library of the University of Cyprus, it is with a great thrill that I announce a contribution of 3,000,000 CYP for this purpose. In addition, I undertake the remuneration of the French architect who will prepare the plans." Elli Steliou Ioannou
 
* The donation was later increased to 10 million euros (8 million euros for the construction of the building, and 2 million for the architect's expenses).
 
 
 
 
 
The Cyprus Cancer Research Institute – CCRI

The George and Kaity David Foundation donated 6 million euros for the construction of the building that will house The Cyprus Cancer Research Institute – CCRI, which will operate at the University of Cyprus in collaboration with the ''Karaiskakio Foundation'' and the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center. The building will be named "Nikola David-Pinedo Building", in memory of their daughter.

The Institute aims to become a leading Cancer Research Center, creating bridges of communication and knowledge transfer with respective Leadership Centers abroad and synergies with other centers in Cyprus while also offering education and training opportunities to young scientists.

 
 
 
 
"Dr Artemis Hadjipanayis" Building Facilities for the Teaching of Medical and Biological Sciences

The construction of the building, which will substantially strengthen teaching at the University of Cyprus in the fields of medicine, biological sciences and more, was made possible by the generous donation of €3,000,000 granted on 5 October 2015 by Dr. Artemis Hatzipanayis. The building will be named "Dr Artemis Hadjipanayis" Building Facilities for the Teaching of Medical and Biological Sciences, while one of the 5 amphitheatres which will be erected inside the building, will be named “Kythrea”, after the benefactor’s place of origin. In addition to the above substantial donation, Dr. Hatzipanayis donated €50,000 and the University of Cyprus, as a minimum token of gratitude, will name one of the amphitheatres "Chrystallou Hadjipanayi" in memory of the benefactor’s late mother and a classroom inside the same building "Platres", where he grew up.
