The idea behind these Championships is that participating is more important than winning. They give the chance of an active break that aim at imporving people's physical condition,learning and improving personal technique, by also providing fun and entertainment.

International regulations apply to all championships and these are completed with special regulations which are stricter in discipline matters, since our philosophy is that Sports at the University of Cyprus should be characterized by the Olympic spirit.

Games are being officiated by official referees from the respective sports federations. Sports Council retains full supervision and control of all procedures regarding organizing the championships.

Sports Council expects all athletes to compete in all earnest, within the framework of the University's philosophy as well as displaying sportsmanship, contributing thus to the growth of sports involvement among the members of the University of Cyprus community.
