•  Airports:
There are 2 airports in the Republic of Cyprus: Larnaca International Airport (Code: LCA) & Paphos International Airport (Code: PFO).
The Larnaca Aiport is located about 30 minutes away from Nicosia by car, while the Paphos Airport is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away.

Please make sure that you only use the aforementioned airports and do not book a flight to the Lefkosa airport, which is located in the Occupied Area of Cyprus.

  • From & To the Airports:
There are shuttle bus services from and to the airports, called Kapnos. You can find more information and time schedules on the Kapnos website . When you arrive in Nicosia you can take a Taxi (average cost €10) from the Kapnos terminal station to your hotel. A bus to the city (ticket cost €1.5) stops about 5 minutes away (walking distance) from the Kapnos terminal.

There are also Taxi services (cabs) from and to the Larnaca and Paphos airports. The route from the Larnaca Airport to Nicosia should be approximately €50, while an average cost of a taxi from Paphos to Nicosia is about €150.

  • In Nicosia:
The conference venue, the Archaeological Research Unit (ARU), is within walking distance (about 15-20 minutes away) from the recommended hotels. Most days in Cyprus are sunny, so walking to the ARU will allow you to enjoy the lovely weather with a nice morning walk through the Old City of Nicosia, passing by one of its most beautiful areas, close to the Cyprus Museum .

Information on public transportation in Nicosia (buses) can be found here. However, the service is not very frequent, and it is therefore recommended that taxis are hired for longer distance travels.
