Welcome to our study homepage!

COVID-19 has become a global pandemic and behavioural scientists are called to ensure that we understand the mechanisms of coping with isolation and also mechanisms of behaviours that constitute either risk factors for being infected (or spreading) the virus or consequences of risk behaviours (like lack of physical activity). The overall aim of the COVID-IMPACT project (Coping mechanisms and behaviours related to COVID-19)  that is led by University of Cyprus ACT healthy laboratory and the University of Basel Division of Clinical Psychology and Intervention Science is to understand the psychological and behavioural aspects related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 STUDY DESCRIPTION

The International COVID-19 IMPACT study is based on theories of psychology and aims to provide evidence on the mechanisms people use to cope with the impact of COVID-19 such as physical isolation and on peoples' health behaviours.

The online survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and those who wish can provide their emails so we can follow-up with them weekly to collect patterns of their behaviours during the COVID-19 pandemic. Weekly surveys will be very short approximately 5-8 minutes. These evidence will help inform policy-making interventions. All data collected will be strictly anonymous and confidential. Please note that the study has received ethics approval by the Cyprus National Bioethics Committee (ref.: ΕΕΒΚ ΕΠ 2020.01.60).
