The work of the Research in Science & Technology Education Group (ReSciTEG) of the Department of Education at the University of Cyprus relates to research, teaching and training mainly in the field of Natural Sciences and Technology. The group consists of academic staff, scientific partners, postdoctoral researchers and postgraduate students. The founder and director of the research group is Dr. Zacharias Zacharia, Professor of Science Education.

The group's main tasks are to create and implement innovative projects, workshops and conferences, to conduct quality research and to develop professional development programs for pre-service and in-service teachers. A huge part of the group's research activities, which are being carried out under various research programs (e.g. FP7, Horizon2020, Erasmus +), are funded by national and European funding organizations (e.g. RIF, European Commission). ReSciTEG’s members have an extensive experience in developing, implementing and evaluating educational materials and curriculum for Natural Sciences and STEAM education in collaboration with other related stakeholders. Members of the team are also involved in academic work, such as teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level, presenting in national and international conferences and publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals. The team has established a network of collaborations with organized groups in the Science and Technology of Teaching both in Cyprus and in Europe.
