    Πτυχίο Νομικής από τη Νομική Σχολή του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης.
     
    Μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Νομική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Aix-Marseille III (DEA Droit des Medias).
     
    Διδακτορικές σπουδές και μεταδιδακτορική διατριβή στον τομέα Εμπορικού Δικαίου της Νομικής Σχολής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης με υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος Κρατικών Υποτροφιών (Ι.Κ.Υ.) και της Επιτροπής Ερευνών του Α.Π.Θ.
     
    Διορίστηκε στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου τον Ιανουάριο του 2010 ως Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Ιδιωτικού Δικαίου. Προηγουμένως έχει εργαστεί ως επιστημονικός συνεργάτης με καθήκοντα διδασκαλίας στο Τμήμα Νομικής του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (2001-2004), στο Διατμηματικό Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών «Πληροφορική και Διοίκηση» του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (2004-2009). Έχει διδάξει στο Τμήμα Δημοσιογραφίας και ΜΜΕ του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης, στο Τμήμα Λογιστικής και Χρηματοοικονομικής του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας και με το καθεστώς του επισκέπτη διδάσκοντα στο μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα «Μ2 Recherche Droit de Propriete Intellectuelle» της Νομικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου της Νάντης. Έχει, επίσης, εργαστεί ως επιστημονικός συνεργάτης στο Κέντρο Διεθνούς και Ευρωπαϊκού Οικονομικού Δικαίου (ΚΔΕΟΔ).
     
    Είναι επιστημονικός συνεργάτης του εκδοτικού οίκου “Kluwer Law International στην βάση δεδομένων «Kluwer EU IP Cases» και του νομικού ιστολογίου  Kluwer Copyright Blog και μέλος της Επιστημονικής Επιτροπής έκδοσης του πρώτου γαλλόφωνου διεθνούς νομικού περιοδικού διανοητικής ιδιιοκτησίας ανοιχτής πρόσβασης Revue francophone de la prorpiété intelllectuelle.
     
    Είναι μέλος της Διεθνούς Συμβουλευτικής Επιτροπής του University College Dublin (UCD) Centre for the Common law in Europe και μέλος του ερευνητικού κέντρου Cerdi (Centre d’Études et de Recherche en Droit de l’Immatériel) του Πανεπιστημίου Paris-Saclay.
     
    Είναι επιστημονικά και οργανωτικά υπευθυνη για τη διοργάνωση του δεκαπενθήμερου αγγλόφωνου θερινού σχολείου στο Ευρωπαϊκό εμπορικό δίκαιο το οποίο απευθύνεται σε φοιτητές από τη Νομική Σχολή Heim Striks από το Ισραήλ (από το 2016).
     
    Υπήρξε μέλος της Ομάδας Εμπειρογνωμόνων με αντικείμενο εργασίας “Intellectual Property for ICT producing SMEs” στο πλαίσιο της δράσης 'Sectoral e-Business Watch' της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής (2007-2008) καθώς και επιστημονικός συνεργάτης και εμπειρογνώμωνας σε πολυάριθα ερευνητικά προγράμματα : «Public Domain Calculator» (Europeana connect, www.outofcopyright.eu), Study on sport's organizer rights in the EU, Asser Institute-IVIR 2014, “Assessment of the impact of the European copyright framework on digitally-supported education and training practices” (Public Policy and Management Institute, DG Education and Culture) (2014-2015), “FutureTDM : Reducing Barriers and Increasing Uptake of Text and Data Mining for Research Environment” (Institute for Information Law (IViR), 2016), Blocking filtering and take down of Internet Content Comparative Study (Swiss Institute for Comparative Law, for the Council of Europe, 2016), EU Observatory on Infringement of IP rights: FAQ consumer copyright (Cyprus), Study on Framework of best practices to tackle child sexual abuse online, ICF 2019.
     
    Υπήρξε πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Ηθικής και Νομικών θεμάτων του ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος Mandola (Monitoring and Detecting On line Hate Speech). Είναι Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Νομικών και Ηθικών Θεμάτων των χρηματοδοτούμενων από την  Ε.Ε. ερενητικών προγραμμάτων : REIS, REACT (REactively Defending against Advanced Cybersecurity Threats (ReAct)), MEDEA (Mediterranean practitioners‟ network & capacity building for effective response to emerging security challenges).
     
    Το 2016 συνέταξε για λογαριασμό της Επιτροπής Νομικών του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου (JURI Commitee) την μελέτη “EU portability Regulation, In depth analysis of the proposal” .
     
    Υπήρξε βασικός ερευνητής/project manager στα ερευνητικά προγράμματα : “Pluralism or Universalism in International Copyright Law” (2017- 2019), ‘PROBLEM BASED TRAINING ON THE DATA PROTECTION REFORM PACKAGE IN GR AND CY — TRAIN-GR-CY’ (χρηματοδοτούμενο από την Ε.Ε, 2018-2020.). Είναι project manager για το Π.Κ. στο πρόγραμμα Train in your language: multilingual transnational training in EU civil and commercial law-(TraiL), Justice Action Grant-2019.
     
     Εχει συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμα συνέδρια, ημερίδες και σεμινάρια ως ομιλήτρια. Διοργάνωσε  πολυάριθμα εθνικής εμβέλειας συνέδρια και ημερίδες και διεθνή συνέδρια.     Είναι  ιδρυτικό μέλος και Πρόεδρος της Ενωσης Δικαιωμάτων Πνευματικής ιδιοκτησίας Κύπρου (ΕΔΠΙ), η οποία λειτουργεί ως το κυπριακό παράρτημα της Διεθνούς Ενωσης Πνευματικής Ιδιοκτησίας ALAI (Association Littéraire et Artistique Internationale). Είναι μέλος της European Copyright Society (ECS).
    Από το 2014 είναι ακαδημαϊκός σύμβουλους του Νομικού Ομίλου του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου και ακαδημαϊκός επόπτης του νομικού φοιτητικού περιοδικού Νομομάχεια, το οποιο εκδίδεται 2 φορές ετησίως έντυπα και ηλεκτρονικά από τις εκδόσεις Σάκκουλα, Αθήνα-Θεσσαλονίκη.

    Profile Information

    Tatiana Synodinοu obtained her law degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
     
    She completed her postgraduate studies at the University Aix-Marseille III and her doctoral and postdoctoral studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki receiving fellowships from the Greek Scholarship Foundation and by the Committee of Research of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
     
    Prior to her appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of Cyprus, Tatiana Synodinou worked as scientific collaborator with teaching duties at the Faculty of Law of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2001-2004) and as a full tiime Visiting lecturer the Interdisciplinary postgraduate program of “Informatics and Management” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
     
    She also worked as a full-time Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Mass Media of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Accounting and Finance of the University of Macedonia, as a short- time Visiting Lecturer at the postgraduate program “Μ2 Recherche Droit de Propriete Intellectuelle” of the University of Nantes and as a scientific collaborator to the Centre of International and European Economic Law.
    Dr. Synodinou has been a member of the Bar Office of Thessaloniki since 2000. She has worked as a short time expert to EU twinning projects and was a member of the e-business Advisory Board for the study “Intellectual Property for ICT producing SMEs” in the context of the the 'Sectoral e-Business Watch' 2007-2008.     She was the  Project manager/Principal researcher at the UCY funded Project “Pluralism or Universalism in International Copyright Law” (2017-2019). She was  Project manager/Scientific Coordinator for UCY for the EU funded project ‘PROBLEM BASED TRAINING ON THE DATA PROTECTION REFORM PACKAGE IN GR AND CY — TRAIN-GR-CY’ (2018-2019).  She is project manager for UCY for the EU funded project Train in your language: multilingual transnational training in EU civil and commercial law- (TraiL), Justice Action Grant-2019.

    She was the Chair of the Legal Lead for the translation/implementation of the creative commons 4.0 licenses in Greek (for Cyprus and Greece). (2015-2019)
     
    She is a case law reporter for “Kluwer Law International” to the legal database «Kluwer EU IP Cases» and a contributor to Kluwer Copyright Blog.
     
    In 2016 she was the author of the  study “EU portability Regulation, In depth analysis of the proposal” for the JURI Committee of the European  Parliament.
     
    She was Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Mandola EU project  (Monitoring and Detecting On line Hate speech,  http://mandola-project.eu/, Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH) (Greece), 2015-2018).
     
    She is currently Chair of the Ethics Committee of the EU funded project REIS,  Chair of the Ethics Committee of the EU funded project REACT (REactively Defending against Advanced Cybersecurity Threats (ReAct),  Member of the Ethics Committee of the EU funded project MEDEA (Mediterranean practitioners‟ network & capacity building for effective response to emerging security challenges). She has been a member of the Patent Committee of the University of Cyprus (2012-2020) and currently is member of the Innovation and patent commitee of UCY (since 2020).
    She has participated as a speaker to numerous conferences-study days-seminars. She has  organised many national and international conferences and study days : Organiser of the international conference “Towards a European Copyright Code?” ( April 14-15, 2011, University of Cyprus),  Co-organiser of the international conference REDA 2015 -Regulation and Enforcement in the Internet Era, (Nicosia, 5-6 November 2015), Co-organiser of the International Conference” Regulation and Enforcement in the Digital Age 2017” (Nicosia, November 16-17, 2017), Organiser of the International Conference “Pluralism or Universalism in International Copyright Law” (University of Cyprus, 31 May -1st June 2018), Co-organiser and Chair of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference” Regulation and Enforcement in the Digital Age 2019” (Nicosia, November 21, 22, 2019).
     
    Since 2016 she is the Organiser and Academic Supervisor of the  international summer school in “EU Commercial Law” (for the students of the e Haim Striks School of Law from Israel).
     
    She is founding member and President of the Union of Copyright Law of Cyprus (EDPI), that is the Cypriot affiliate of International Literary and Artistic Association (ALAI). She is member of the European Copyright Society (ECS).
     
    She is the academic advisor of the Association of Law students of the University of Cyprus (Group of Legal Education UCY). She is the Founder and Chief academic editor of the student Law Journal, “Nomomachia” of the Association of Law Students of the UCY (published twice a yerar both ih print and electronic form by Sakkoulas Publications, Greece)
