Dr. Chrystalla Kapetaniou is a Special Scientist at the Economics Research Centre at UCY, as part of the program "Employment in Europe" funded by the European Union. Previously, she held teaching and research positions at the University of Westminster, Cyprus University of Technology and Open University of Cyprus. She has a PhD in Management from Kent Business School, University of Kent, a Master degree in Operational Research from London School of Economics (L.S.E.), and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). She has published on innovation management, industrial economics and government policy. She has presented her research at national and international conferences including Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, and European Group for Organisational Studies.

Current research interests include the role of automation technologies in influencing employment, the factors that lead to the take-up of innovations, 3D printing ecosystems, as well as the role of institutions in influencing start-ups.
